HoopHER was created to give young female athletes a place to grow, learn, and build confidence before stepping into high school basketball. Designed for athletes entering Grades 8β10 who are part of our feeder schools or planning to attend Eagle Butte High School come Fall, this camp focuses on far more than just drills and scrimmages.
We've always believed athletes develop best when they feel supported, encouraged, and connected to the people around them. HoopHER creates an environment where players can ask questions, make mistakes, build friendships, and develop their skills with coaches who genuinely care about their growth both on and off the court.
Throughout the week, athletes will work on shooting, ball handling, court awareness, decision making, defensive skills, and overall basketball IQ through structured practices, small group stations, competitive reps, and game play. Alongside skill development, we also place a strong focus on confidence, communication, teamwork, mindset, and helping athletes better understand what high school basketball looks and feels like.
One of the most important parts of HoopHER is creating early connections between players, families, and the EBHS basketball program. Our goal is to help athletes walk into future tryouts, practices, and games feeling more prepared, more confident, and already part of something bigger.
Offered as two separate 1-week summer sessions, athletes can register for one or both weeks depending on their goals and schedule. For athletes participating in both weeks, Week 1 focuses more heavily on introductions, fundamentals, and building a strong foundation, while Week 2 is designed to deepen that understanding through repetition, higher-level skill development, competitive gameplay, and more in-game application.
