Neil Braun
Head Coach, EBHS Girls Basketball

Neil grew up in Alberta playing high level basketball, and has won a number of MVP awards. Basketball played a pivotal role in shaping Neil's life, and that passion for the game does not go unnoticed.

Neil has been coaching basketball for 5+ years. While he started out coaching boys, he found that the girl's games brought a different energy and the girls were much more willing to learn, improve, and apply his teachings in game.

As a pass-first point guard, his approach to coaching naturally emphasizes court awareness, decision making, and understanding how the game flows. He has a strong focus on defensive plays, communication, and helping athletes anticipate what’s happening on the court rather than just reacting to it.

For Neil, coaching is his way of staying connected to the game, and he brings a lot of energy and intention into every season. He’s passionate about building not just individual players, but a strong team culture and a program that will continue to grow for years to come.

Bailey Warner
Assistant Coach + Program Support, EBHS Girls Basketball

Being married to someone as passionate about basketball as Neil means the game has been a big part of Bailey’s life for the past 10+ years. Over time, her involvement within the EBHS girls basketball program naturally evolved from being an attendee/supporter to stepping into an assistant coaching and program support role.

While Neil leads the program on the court, Bailey plays a major role behind the scenes throughout the season, helping manage team operations, communication, scheduling, budgeting, player statistics, and overall program organization. She works closely with the team to help create an environment that feels supportive, positive, and welcoming for both athletes and families.

Bailey is especially passionate about team culture, confidence building, mindset, and athlete development. She believes some of the most important growth happens through communication, accountability, leadership, and learning how to be a great teammate.

Her goal is to help athletes feel confident, connected, supported, and excited to come to the gym every day.

Junior Coaches
Recent EBHS Graduates + Current Players

We’re really intentional about including junior coaches and alumni players in our skills camp.

For our attending younger athletes, our junior coaches give them someone relatable to learn from — girls who have recently been in their position and understand what that transition into high school basketball feels like. It helps create a more comfortable environment where they can ask questions, build confidence, and see what’s possible within the program.

At the same time, we use this as a leadership opportunity for our current EBHS players. It gives them the chance to step into a mentorship role, support younger athletes, and grow as leaders both on and off the court. Our junior coaches are hand selected, held to a high standard, paid for their support/time, and when they exceed our expectations, we provide them a letter of recommendation to the school of their choosing.

We deeply value these types of student opportunities as it's how we can build a stronger program longterm while not only developing players, but developing strong supportive young women.
